A few weeks ago, the teachers at Sabbath School gave us a little booklet to study about the Last Supper, which is "Santa Cena" in Spanish. Every Sabbath, they asked us questions about the story, and they asked us if we did the activities in our booklet. We've learned a lot about it now.
So last Sabbath, they told us that we were going to have Communion in the afternoon. So in the afternoon, we came together and we sang songs. After that, we got into pairs and went outside and washed each other's feet, just like the disciples did in the Bible. Jesus was trying to teach them to be humble. My partner was my best friend Laura. Her brother is Joshua's best friend. After that we prayed with each other.
Then we went and sat down in the church. Then the Pastor came and told us we would eat the bread, which stands for Jesus' body.
Then they passed out the "wine" which was really juice, which stands for Jesus' blood. Then we prayed. Jesus did this because he wanted his disciples to remember Him when He left them. Every time they ate bread and drank juice, they would think about Him.
I liked the Santa Cena really much.
